rainbows and sausages

Yeah, you heard me. James and I had to do our civic duty today and cook our first communal meal. We tried like hell to spice it up a bit too, and managed to pull off a really good cumin and roasted pepper soup, with potatoes, garbanzos, zucchini, carrots, garnished right with with some Italian parsley and homemade croutons, and for the meat eaters, a nice beer brat for good measure. Check it...

presentation is key.

We had some clean up to do and some bikes to build today but all in all a pretty light day, which meant we needed to hit town again, this time per BIRRA!!! We actually have access to a couple bob trailers so we hitched one up and went big. Right before we left though a freak little rain happened and brought us a rainbow of epic proportions. Seriously it was the brightest and fullest rainbow I have ever seen, a double with the lower of the two showing all the way through the dark violet spectrum, really quite fantastic. And probably a sign that a beer run was a great idea!

We had clear skies for the second ride to the store, James with the bob trailer behind me...
....ample selection

and a successful trip home with no brokens...
We got a couple strange looks, as we always do, and weren't sure if it was the clothes, the bike trailer, my stupid moustache, or the fact that the box we selected was labeled "Toilet Paper" - the only cargo we hauled.

All in all a pretty damn fine day if you ask me.
S.
