So even though its been cold and grey lately,
we have been working on wrapping up the season with a little cleaning, unloading the last couple vans returning from tours in Croatia and Sicily, and making the Farm look real purdy like...
Putting racks away for the winter...
Cleaning and organizing my work space mojo...
Even trying to help kitty understand that this is just not acceptable...
Its all helping pass the time but you can feel the excitement to be done and head back to the US and A for some friend and family respite...
I actually got a pretty big ride in on sunday in the rain...
Wine country...
Saw some great fall colours...
And a beat old barn with freshly painted red shutters...
Starts to feel like Napa, or the Pacific Northwest...till you round the corner and see a freaking OLD CASTLE!!! I confessed to my Buddy Jessie today that as a kid I was Robin Hood like three years in a row for Halloween, green tights and frilly skirt and all...I got me a soft spot for castles still...
Not so much the tights and frilly skirts...well maybe a little...
I did a little painting after an inspirational exchange with Anchor Girl.
And artwork for me and TaintBoy to cement our friendship with matching tattoos...
Been a pretty easy few days. Today we actually got some sun...enough sun in fact to do the manly thing and take our shirts off and try to get a few more vitamin D's in before the winter really sinks in. We pushed the whole computer the the door,
turned up some tunes and cleaned a ton of bikes outside.
It was a pretty chill day. I took a break to slay the kitchen and some thai green curry veggies for lunch, and we spent the afternoon reminiscing about the trials and joys of the season. We joked about the first few deliveries and I think somewhere in a little bit of shit talking we managed to realize how much we really learned and accomplished this season. A good way to spend the day in the sun.
I finished off the monster piles of leaves I raked up late last week
Only about a 100 meter drag...
and piled em up where the farmers will either ignore them till they decompose, or light assunder when no one is looking. They burn alot of stuff here, and believe me I was tempted to throw a match in this one.
Quite the smoulder that would have been! But I was beat. Dragged 5 tarps full out there, and am done for the day. Tomorrow a bike ride to a town that is rumored to have a HUGE market on Wednesdays, and a killer vintage store.
stay posted for pics
